Our History
The name of our agency carries deep personal and cultural meaning. “Assedo” comes from the last ship the founder’s grandfather served on, honoring his legacy as a maritime professional. It is also a warm childhood memory, walking along the Odessa port with his grandfather and learning about the ship and its stories. Plus, “Assedo” is “Odessa” spelled backward, a subtle but important nod to our hometown. By naming the agency “Assedo,” we pay tribute to our grandfather and our roots, keeping the past alive while moving forward with that inspiration.
We operate under the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006), ensuring that our recruitment practices meet the highest international standards. Working under this license reflects our professionalism, transparency, and commitment to both clients and crew.
